While many fans know Ksenia Solo from her work on Lost Girl and Orphan Black, she is so fantastic in the role of Anna in the delightful comedy Tulipani: Love, Honour and a Bicycle. The film had its world premiere at TIFF, and is a true international production, helmed by a Dutch director Mike van Diem, featuring an Italian actress (the indomitable Lidia Vitale), and starring the Riga-born and Toronto-based Solo, who learned to speak Italian for the role and does so convincingly (a phone message to van Diem apparently sealed the deal).
We sat down with the trio at the festival for a fun interview, in which Solo revealed how she was able to express herself in Italian. Allora, check out our interview below!
