Interview: Dr. Death’s Joshua Jackson

by Leora Heilbronn

We didn’t want to wait for our lives to be over to speak with the long requested star of Little Fires EverywhereWhen They See Us, Fringe, The Mighty Ducks, Dawson’s Creek, and now, Dr. Death. Stepping in graciously for Jamie Dornan (who could not shoot due to the pandemic), Van City’s Jackson dives right into the role of the controversial Dr. Christopher Duntsch, who managed to pull off some pretty horrific actions and found the right person to play him, as Jackson is not only charming, but possesses a deep understanding of the horrors of the medical system exposed by the powerful and challenging series. It probably took a Canadian to get at the heart of an American story, and Joshua Jackson was extremely rapt and gracious in our Zoom video interview.
