The summer is heating up and the Fox & Global series Fantasy Island is shaping up to be a hot one. Starring Roselyn Sanchez (Without a Trace) as the mysterious Elena Roarke, a descendant of Mr. Roarke from the original series (there is a cheeky nod with a photograph in an initial scene), and yet this version of Fantasy Island is very much its own. Most of the reason comes down to that the women are in charge and the diversity at play in this series is a refreshing thing to see.
We spoke on video with stars Roselyn Sanchez, Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriquez from their junket room in Miami and they filled us in on how this is the “perfect show for summer”.
