Interview: Firefly Lane’s Sarah Chalke and Roan Curtis

On the new Netflix series Firefly Lane, Canadian actors Sarah Chalke (Rick and Morty, Scrubs) and Roan Curtis (The Magicians, Before I Fall) both play Kate Mularkey (in her younger and then slightly older years), a highly intelligent but insecure TV producer (in her older years) and BFF to the equally intelligent and overly confident Tully Hart (played by Ali Skovbye and Katherine Heigl, respectively). During the recent virtual press junket for the heartwarming show, I had the lovely opportunity to chat over Zoom video with Chalke and Curtis about their favourite moments portraying Kate (a character I very much related to) and what they’ve been binge watching lately.
