La Brea star Veronica St. Clair, who plays Riley Velez, spoke with Brief Take over Zoom video recently about her very special episode ‘Lazarus’ that involved learning to ice skate. St. Clair also discussed her recent experience of watching the series Stranger Things with her co-star, actor and comedian Jack Martin (who plays Josh Harris on the show), and about the fact that St Clair looks to her parents (and grandparents) as personal guides for the fashions of 1998 (the time period in which Riley finds herself in this season). St. Clair also does a little bit of speculating in what she wants to see on La Brea in the future, and provides a few details about what’s coming up at the end of season two. Veronica St. Clair also briefly talked about her friendship with her BFF Dove Cameron and weighs in on unique food choices and the idea of combining different foods together.
The breakout hit La Brea is sort of a difficult series to classify, but we are going to attempt to do so. When a massive sinkhole opens in the middle of Los Angeles at the site of the La Brea Tar Pits and Wilshire Boulevard, hundreds of people, vehicles and buildings are pulled into its depths. As the series progresses, the investigators realize that the sinkholes provide a temporary portal to the same location in 10,000 B.C. Meanwhile, the survivors struggle to find a way back through the portal before it closes up.
