As Christina (Mia Kirshner) prepares her restaurant for its busiest time of year, she gets back a DNA test revealing that she’s Jewish. That’s the basic premise of the new Hallmark Channel movie Love, Lights, Hanukkah!, playing as part of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas airing this month on the W Network (and then available on STACKTV, for those who missed it or want repeat viewings).
Appropriately, on the first night of Hanukkah, I got the exciting opportunity to speak over Zoom video with the lovely Mia Kirshner (The College Admissions Scandal, The L Word) about her role in the movie, her own holiday traditions, and the scenes that had her thinking about her Jewish grandparents.
