We’ve been a fan of John Carney’s work since we watched the powerful film Once, and then Begin Again at TIFF, as well as the rollicking Sing Street. In fact, after rewatching Sing Street recently, we made the decision to ask Carney, creator and showrunner of Modern Love, questions about the Train episode of the show that he wrote and directed (which features a mini Sing Street reunion in the form of Jack Reynor and Lucy Boynton). Carney was also kind enough to enlighten us about Easter eggs that bring the entire season together and generally was extremely kind and gregarious.
