Aliza Vellani is an immensely talented Vancouver-based actress prominently featured in the whimsical and fantastical Netflix series Sweet Tooth, which is currently trending number one across Netflix worldwide. The delightful family-friendly show comes from an incredible creative team which includes producer Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey, as well as creator and showrunner Jim Mickle. Vellani shines as Rani Singh, the intelligent and quick witted wife of Dr. Singh (Adeel Aktbar), and she projects warmth and strength in every one of her moments on screen.
We spoke with Vellani exclusively from her home base of Vancouver (the series was filmed in New Zealand) and the following is an edited and condensed version of our lovely Zoom video conversation.
