Sarah Kameela Impey plays Saira, lead singer and part-time butcher shop employee in the riotous Showcase series We Are Lady Parts (from Nida Manzoor, writer and director of every episode of the hilarious and poignant show). While Saira may be the driving force of the band Lady Parts, we felt as though we were in perfect harmony speaking to the friendly British actress on a recent Zoom video junket for the show. In our interview, Sarah Kameela Impey shared her thoughts on Muslim and queer representation in the series as well as the importance of musical hero Patti Smith.

Leora is a self-described "nerd" but that doesn't stop her from conducting engaging and lively dialogues, understanding the heart of a piece of fiction, and just plain being efficient and friendly. She enjoys animated Disney movies and loves ultraviolence in films equally. She is a devoted caregiver to a jungle cat, as well as an accomplished clean person.
