Brief Description: A Quiet Passion, directed by Terence Davis (House of Mirth, Sunset Song) and starring Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City, James White), shows Dickinson’s life from her early days as a young schoolgirl to her later years as a reclusive artist, and also stars Jennifer Ehle (Fifty Shades Of Grey) and Keith Carradine (Nashville). Although Dickinson wrote more than 2,000 poems in her lifetime, only seven were published before her premature death in 1886. She never married and became increasingly reclusive as she got older.
A Quiet Passion had its World Premiere at the 2016 Berlinale followed by a Masters presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival and has been hailed by critics as a masterwork.
