Taking place on Thursday July 20th at 7pm at Brassaii in trendy King West (downtown Toronto), this is going to be the hottest party of the year AND all proceeds benefit an amazing cause!
Brief Description: The Canadian Picture Pioneer Social brings together professionals from the motion picture, television, print and broadcasting industries and aims to raise money for the Canadian Picture Pioneers Trust Fund.
Proceeds from the online auction (Amazing Auction Here!) help support the Canadian Picture Pioneer Trust Fund. The Canadian Picture Pioneers Trust Fund was formed in 1942 and provides assistance in many ways for members of the Canadian Motion Picture Industry. It frequently pays additional costs not covered by a health insurance plan, including chronic care in a hospital, necessary medication, dental and optical requirements. It has provided wheelchairs, prostheses special treatments and, on occasion, purchased necessary items such as oxygen equipment. It is utilized by retirees who need help, and quite frequently by young widows with school-aged children. A Student Assistance Scholarship Program has also been set-up to assist young people employed in the industry and are students enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies.
